Tim Williams is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a special interest in foot & ankle surgery. His ethos is to keep things ‘Safe, Sensible and Straightforward’.

Throughout Mr Williams’ senior training and consultancy years, he has been interested in foot and ankle surgery. Though he has ensured a solid base in Orthopaedics and Trauma, his specialist focus has been clear.
Mr Williams maintains this focus through professional reading, attending courses and meetings, both national and overseas. A further ambition of his is to complete a travelling fellowship during the early stages of his senior career. Having always enjoyed teaching and its many skills, Mr Williams hopes to expand this aspect of his career as it matures. He has both lectured to and formally examined medical students at Cambridge University, as well as having been invited to speak to future radiographers at the University of East Anglia. He has been put forward to the Royal College of Surgeons as Instructor Potential in ATLS.
With considered reading of both the lay and professional press, Mr Williams tries to maintain an understanding of the ever-evolving workings of the NHS and its many facets. He has experienced, and now fully appreciates, the need for self and departmental appraisal through the processes of clinical governance.

Personal areas of interest:
Sports injuries of the foot and ankle, particularly arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, an interest which has developed through working with the paratroopers at Colchester Garrison and their Regional Rehabilitation Unit.

Mr Ghassemi is an Orthopaedic Consultant at London University College Hospital NHS Trust with a sub-specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Ghassemi practices at Princess Grace Hospital, the Wellington Hospital, ISEH (Institute of Sport and Exercise), Highgate Hospital, Springfield Hospital and here at Baddow Hospital.

Mr Ghassemi received excellent training in all aspects of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, finally super-specialising in foot and ankle surgery while working at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and The Royal London Hospital.
His fellowship training took place at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, where he honed his skills on all aspects of complex foot and ankle surgery. His work with the Bone Infection Unit allowed him to provide the highest standards of surgical treatment of diabetic feet, a condition which has expanded throughout the world.
Mr Ghassemi's practice includes all aspects of elective and trauma foot and ankle surgery. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery. He also has an ongoing interest in research and is involved with teaching orthopaedic trainees. Mr Ghassemi has published widely including a medical text book on heel pain.
