MBBS FRCSG (Tr & Orth)
Consultant trauma & Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Tim Williams is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a special interest in foot & ankle surgery. His ethos is to keep things ‘Safe, Sensible and Straightforward’.
Throughout Mr Williams’ senior training and consultancy years, he has been interested in foot and ankle surgery. Though he has ensured a solid base in Orthopaedics and Trauma, his specialist focus has been clear.
Mr Williams maintains this focus through professional reading, attending courses and meetings, both national and overseas. A further ambition of his is to complete a travelling fellowship during the early stages of his senior career. Having always enjoyed teaching and its many skills, Mr Williams hopes to expand this aspect of his career as it matures. He has both lectured to and formally examined medical students at Cambridge University, as well as having been invited to speak to future radiographers at the University of East Anglia. He has been put forward to the Royal College of Surgeons as Instructor Potential in ATLS.
With considered reading of both the lay and professional press, Mr Williams tries to maintain an understanding of the ever-evolving workings of the NHS and its many facets. He has experienced, and now fully appreciates, the need for self and departmental appraisal through the processes of clinical governance.
