Mr Lorenzi graduated and completed his surgical training at the prestigious University of Siena in Italy, where he also achieved his PhD, in collaboration with the University of Oxford.

Mr Charalampopoulos is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon based at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. His main interests are oesophagogastric resections, gallbladder and hernia operations, as well as surgery for the morbidly obese (weight loss surgery).
Mr Charalampopoulos graduated with honours from the University of Athens Medical School in 2002 (9th out of more than 600 students) and undertook his surgical training in the UK and Greece. In 2010, Mr Charalampopoulos completed his surgical training and gained his CCT in General Surgery. Following this, he was offered a prestigious fellowship in Gastric and Oesophageal Cancer Surgery at the National Cancer Centre Hospital in Tokyo, Japan, where his training was immensely enhanced in the field of extensive Lymph Node Dissection and Laparoscopic Functional Gastrectomies for early gastric cancer.
For the next two years, Mr Charalampopoulos completed fellowships in Bariatric and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in both cancer and benign diseases at St George’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London.
Mr Charalampopoulos has attended surgical oncology courses in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York and advanced Laparoscopic Surgery courses at the world-renowned centre IRCAD/EITS in Strasbourg France. He has performed thousands of open and laparoscopic operations, the majority of which are in upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Charalampopoulos has completed a Master’s Degree (MSc) in the field of pancreatitis and was awarded a PhD with Honours for his work in gastrointestinal oncology and adhesion molecules. His research has been published extensively, including in one of the most prominent medical periodicals, The New England Journal of Medicine.
Mr Charalampopoulos has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed international medical journals, being first author in many of them. He is an active Editorial Board Member of many surgical journals and has been invited to be an Associate Editor for several.
Mr Charalampopoulos has been an invited speaker at many international surgical and medical meetings and congresses and has received multiple awards and distinctions for his work.
Mr Charalampopoulos is an expert Consultant Upper GI Surgeon based in Broomfield Hospital Essex and specialises in Laparoscopic (key hole) Surgery for hernia repair. More than 80% of his operations are performed laparoscopically.

Mr Jayanthi is a Consultant Surgeon at Broomfield Hospital specialises in keyhole surgery for hernias, gallstones, heartburn, cancer of oesophagus and stomach & weight loss surgery. He also specialises in Robotic Surgery and novel endoscopic procedures.
Mr Jayanthi was admitted to one of the top medical schools of India, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute with high merit. Following his graduation, he moved to the United Kingdom for surgical training. He then obtained Membership & Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He obtained a post-doctoral qualification from research performed at University of Oxford.
Following his doctoral research at Oxford University, Mr Jayanthi completed All Wales Higher Surgical Training Programme. He gained advanced experience doing focused fellowships at world-renowned centres of excellence. Mr Jayanthi was a Senior Laparoscopic Fellow at ICENI Centre, Colchester (for keyhole surgery). Following this he spent a year at the St James University Hospital, Leeds (for cancer surgery). He then completed coveted and much sought after Ethicon Bariatric Fellowship at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton (for weight loss surgery).

Mr Hammond is a Consultant General, Colorectal & Laparoscopic Surgeon based at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. His main interests include bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, anal conditions and hernias.
Mr Hammond graduated from Liverpool University Medical School in 1998 and completed surgical training in 2012. During this time, he trained at St Mark's Hospital, London, a national and international referral centre for intestinal and colorectal disorders, and was awarded a nationally-appointed fellowship in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery, which he undertook at Colchester University Hospital.
During his training, Mr Hammond completed a research MD investigating the role of biomaterials in the management of parastomal hernias and anal fistulas. For this, he was awarded the Colon & Rectal Disease Research Foundation Prize by the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britian & Ireland (ACPGBI), and granted a travelling fellowship by the Coloproctology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Mr Hammond continues to enjoy publishing and presenting on his research areas of interest and has co-authored a number of book chapters. He has also been invited to review articles for The Lancet, British Journal of Surgery, Colorectal Disease, Techniques in Coloproctology and The International Journal of Surgery.

I am a consultant Gastroenterologist working in Chelmsford since 2009. I started my practice in Broomfield Hospital where I was the Inflammatory Bowel Disease LEad and the Lead for Endoscopy Training. I maintain an honorary contract with Broomfiled Hospital. I am interested in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
I graduated in Medicine from India in 1997 and thereafter completed my specialist training in the University Hospital of Leicester, culminating in a CCT in Gastroenterology and General Medicine in 2009. I have researched the effects of Inflammatory Bowel Disease on Bone metabolism and was awarded a Masters in Health Services Research by Nottingham University in 2006.
