BSC (Hons) in Health studies and a Masters in Pain management
I am a Registered Nurse with a post graduate diploma from University College London on Clinical Medical Hypnosis. I successfully undertook a BSC (Hons) in Health Studies and a Masters in Pain Management before training in hypnosis. I previously worked with patients using hypnosis at the Laurels GP surgery at Boreham and I have contributed and co-edited the ‘Chronic Pain Management’ book by Wiley.
I trained as a Registered Nurse at Scarborough General Hospital before moving to Oxford to study Orthopaedic Nursing. I then came to Chelmsford in 1987. I have had a varied professional life as a Theatre and Recovery Sister, then as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pain Management, gaining a Master’s in the subject.
I have been using Medical Hypnosis within my practice for the past eight years, working with a small team in a primary care setting within a GP practice. I have presented hypnotherapy papers at national and international conferences.
