    Having qualified and served his junior posts in Edinburgh, Mr Robarts migrated south to East Anglia to become Senior Registrar at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and Addenbrookes Hospital, where he held Honorary Lecturer Status.
    In 1988 he became Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Mid Essex Hospitals working first at St John’s Hospital and Broomfield Hospital and was also Director of Clinical Studies for Undergraduate students from the Cambridge University Medical School for a decade. He subsequently became Clinical Director of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Directorate.

    Mr Robarts has pioneered several procedures in the United Kingdom including the “Adiana” hysteroscopic sterilisation and the single incision urethral sling procedure for stress incontinence. In 2008 he and a colleague were awarded the Barker Brettel Award for Medical Technology for devising a new surgical instrument to aid easier removal of uterine polyps.

    When not in his consulting rooms he can be found fishing peacefully on a riverbank or enjoying an energetic game of tennis with his twin daughters.

    Mr Goodfellow gained his junior experience in obstetrics and gynaecology from busy NHS appointments in Leeds, Bristol, London and Chelmsford, over an 8-year period. In 1981, a two-year honorary consultant university appointment in Leeds combined successful research with an active clinical post, gaining him valuable senior experience.
    He has had a broad base of experience in both NHS and private practice as a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, since his appointment in 1983 at the Hartswood and Nuffield Hospitals in Chelmsford. Mr Goodfellow has a special interest in combined pelvic floor repair, and general gynaecology, particularly vaginal surgery, and has extensive experience in performing colposcopies.
    Mr Goodfellow enjoys the challenge of lecturing and tutorials – usually to undergraduates, midwives and postgraduates and he teaches regularly to speciality-protected teaching sessions.

    Consultant Gynaecologist

    Mr Gangooly completed his medical degree in Calcutta, India in 1995. He did postgraduate training in gynaecology and obstetrics which led to an MD in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. During his training in the United Kingdom, he obtained the MRCOG in 2002.
    Mr Gangooly’s training started at King’s College Hospital. He completed a Fellowship in Assisted conception and Infertility at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. The other emphasis in his training was in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery at Princess Royal University Hospital and Lewisham Hospital in London. He is currently a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology- Lead for Infertility Services and Gynae Endoscopy at Broomfield, Mid Essex Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in treating couples with subfertility, women with menstrual disorders and general gynaecological conditions with an interest in endometriosis. He aims to offer endoscopic treatment modalities where feasible and safe with an emphasis on subfertile couples.
    Mr Gangooly enjoys travelling, cooking and music. He is married with one son.
