Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future.
Physiotherapists take a science-based, holistic approach to treatment – this means looking at the patient’s general lifestyle and wellbeing, rather than focusing purely on individual aspects of the injury or illness. Another important feature of physiotherapy is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, and participation in their treatment.
So how can physiotherapy benefit you? With the right physiotherapist, you can treat the following areas:
- Back pain including sciatica
- Joint sprains and muscle strains
- Rehabilitation post fracture or ligament reconstruction
- Sports Injuries

- Peripheral joint pain – shoulder / elbow / wrist / hip / knee injuries
