Shoulder pain can be extremely severe. The shoulder is the most mobile and the least stable of all the joints and pain in this area can be the result of various conditions, including:
- Rotator cuff tears
- Frozen shoulder
Hip pain can be caused by inflammation of the tendons, ligaments and muscles around the hip joint, and is most often brought on by general wear and tear. Left untreated, the hip joint and, therefore, the pain can get progressively worse and mobility can deteriorate.
Reduction in the volume of synovial fluid, thinning and irregularity of the cartilage lining, inflammation of the soft tissue including tendons, ligaments and muscles can all be caused by general wear and tear of the knee joints and can result in severe pain.
